TRAIL RIDING
The Fundementals
Trail Riding focuses on the participants problem solving abilities and creates a supportive space for participants to build a stronger relationship with their equine partner. Participants experience various challenges that simulate outdoor trail conditions, promoting both teamwork and individual confidence.

Obstacle Navigation: Riders tackle challenges like gates, bridges, and cones, developing balance, coordination, and confidence while guiding their horse through each task.

Natural Communication: Effective use of cues and body language strengthens the connection between rider and horse, ensuring smooth passage through the course.

Problem-Solving Skills: Riders learn to assess each obstacle, adapting their strategies based on their horse's strengths, fostering critical thinking in navigating the course effectively.
Evaluation Requirements for Participation
To ensure the safety and proper skill placement of all participants, the following youth must have their horsemaster levels evaluated BEFORE registering for the clinic:

First-Time Participants: All riders joining for the first time, regardless of their horsemaster level.

Level Advancement: Any past participant wishing to progress to a higher horsemaster level.

New Horse Entries: Returning participants who will be riding a different horse.

Participants must complete a Horsemaster level evaluation before registering for their chosen level
Trail 1
Level 1: For riders with minimal experience.
Class Overview
This class introduces fundamental trail riding skills, emphasizing safety and control in varied terrain. Through hands-on exercises, participants will develop their confidence and skills, so they can navigate diverse landscapes safely and enjoyably. This class aims to provide a solid foundation for all who wish to explore the great outdoors on horseback.
